The market share of Southeast Asia will increase to about 5.337 billion yuan by the end of 2023

According to the results of Cambodia's 2021 National Adult Tobacco Survey, the number of smokers in Cambodia dropped by one-fifth between 2014-2021.

The findings of Cambodia's 2021 National Adult Tobacco Survey show that the overall prevalence of smoking decreased from 16.6% in 2014 to 13.04% in 2021. Smoking among men decreased by 6.93% (from 32.3% in 2014 to 25.37% in 2021). The smoking rate among women also dropped from 2.4 percent in 2014 to 2.05 percent in 2021.

Attitudes are also changing in Cambodia, with 95 per cent of survey respondents in favour of higher cigarette taxes and 95.75 per cent in favour of higher prices for tobacco products.

According to Bangladeshi media outlet BLITZ, e-cigarettes were sold in six Southeast Asian markets in 2019 with a total market value of $595 million (4.1 billion yuan), which is expected to grow to $766 million (5.37 billion yuan) by the end of 2023.
